How to: Exclude a store from your first20 discount

What is the FIRST20 Discount Coupon?

There are many types of coupons that can be used and in this article we will be addressing how to exclude the FIRST20 coupon from other stores.

By default, your Site manager comes with two default discounts:

1. FIRST20 - This is used for your audiences who leave their email addresses in your Newsletter-Sign Up

2. NEW20 - This is reserved for your New Website Giveaway once you get live

These are active on your site and they apply to all items in your shopping cart

Steps to Exclude a Specific Store:

1. Disable the Existing "FIRST20" Coupon:

   1. Log in to your Art Storefronts Site Manager.
      ​

   2. Navigate to Discount Coupons / Gift Cards via the "Jump To" menu.
      ​

   3. Click on the "FIRST20" coupon.

   4. Toggle the Available slider to Off to deactivate the coupon.
      ​

   5. Rename the coupon code to something like "first201" (since duplicate codes aren't allowed).
      ​

   6. Click Save.
      ​

2. Create a New "FIRST20" Coupon Excluding Specific Stores:

   1. Return to the Discount Coupons / Gift Cards section.
      ​

   2. Click Add Coupon.
      ​

   3. Set When Should This Coupon Be Applied to After User enters in a Code.
      ​

   4. Enter "first20" in the Code field.
      ​

   5. Set Apply Discount To as Shopping Cart Items.
      ​

   6. Choose Quantities of Products within Specific Stores under Allow Discount Based On.
      ​

   7. Click Next.
      ​

   8. In No. Of Redemptions, set the number to "1" to allow a single use per customer.
      ​

   9. In the Stores section, select all stores except the one you wish to exclude (e.g., "Merch").
      ​

   10. Under Amount By Quantity, set the quantity to "1" and the discount percentage to "20" to offer a 20% discount.
       ​

   11. Click Save to finalize the new coupon.
